Best Salon Near Greenville, NY

Greenville sits in the Town of Greenburgh, about twelve minutes north of our chair at 16 Mill Rd. Your mail says Scarsdale, your kids go to Edgemont schools, and your town hall is in Greenburgh. We know the difference, and it matters more than you would think when you are trying to find a salon that actually fits your life.

MAK Salon Is the Hair Salon Greenville Drives Twelve Minutes For

Most Greenville residents have spent years choosing between two bad options. There are the quick-turn places along Central Park Avenue, where you can usually get in the same week but you never see the same person twice and nobody remembers what they did to your hair last time. Then there is the drive into Manhattan, which costs you a full Saturday and a train ticket before anyone has touched your head.

MAK Salon was built for the space in between. Manhattan-level color and cutting, twelve minutes from your driveway, with a stylist who knows your hair history because they are the one who wrote it.

Why Greenville Clients Choose MAK Salon

A Salon That Knows Greenville Is Not Scarsdale

This sounds like a small thing. It is not. Greenville shares the 10583 ZIP code with Scarsdale, so your mailing address reads Scarsdale even though you are an unincorporated hamlet in the Town of Greenburgh with your own school district and your own character. Half the businesses in Westchester treat you as an afterthought of somewhere else.

We do not. When a Greenville client sits in our chair, we are not making assumptions based on a ZIP code. We ask about your actual routine, your actual commute, and how much time you actually have in the morning. That is the whole basis of the consultation.

Built Around the Edgemont Calendar

If you have children at Greenville Elementary, Seely Place, or Edgemont Junior/Senior High, your year has a shape to it. There is the September scramble, the concert and photo weeks, graduation in June, and the stretch of August when everyone is trying to get their color reset before school picks back up.

We book around that shape. Clients who tell us their kids are in the Edgemont district get put on a schedule that anticipates the crunch weeks instead of colliding with them. If you need to be finished before pickup, say so when you book and we will build the appointment to end on time.

Fifteen Years of High-End Experience, Twelve Minutes Away

Marie Maksuti founded MAK Salon after more than fifteen years working in some of the most demanding chairs in New York City. She did not open a neighborhood shop that happens to do color. She opened a salon where the standard is the same one she was held to in Manhattan, and then she put it somewhere Westchester residents can actually reach on a weeknight.

For Greenville, that means the drive down Central Park Avenue replaces the drive to Midtown. Same caliber of work. You keep your Saturday.

Color That Survives a Westchester Year

Hair in lower Westchester takes a beating in both directions. Winter here is dry radiator heat for months, which pulls moisture out of color-treated hair and makes blondes go brittle and dull. Summer is humid enough that a smooth blowout can turn on you before you have made it from the car to the office.

We formulate for that. Your color gets built with the season it has to live through in mind, and we are honest with you about what will hold and what will not. If a shade is going to need a gloss in six weeks to still look like itself, we tell you that at the consultation, not after.

Services at MAK Salon

Every service and its current pricing lives on our service menu. Here is what Greenville clients book most.

Hair Color and Balayage

Single process, double process, full and partial highlights, balayage, glossing and toning, and full color correction. Balayage is our most requested service from the Greenville and Edgemont area, largely because it grows out softly. When your next window is eight or ten weeks out because of work and the school calendar, a hand-painted grow-out is far more forgiving than a hard highlight line. See the full breakdown on our hair color and full highlights pages.

Color Correction

Box dye that went green. A balayage from somewhere else that came back brassy. Years of banding from a stylist who kept pulling the same formula through. Color correction is consultation-based because no two are alike, and anyone who quotes you a flat price over the phone without seeing your hair is guessing.

Haircuts

Precision cutting for all lengths and textures, including bang trims and full restyles. A cut here starts with a conversation about how you actually wear your hair on a Tuesday, not how it looks the twenty minutes after you leave. Details on the haircuts page.

Keratin and Smoothing

Brazilian Blowout, Lasio Keratin, and Magic Sleek. These are the treatments that change the math on a humid Westchester summer, cutting blow-dry time down substantially and holding a smooth finish through weather that would otherwise undo it. Full detail on our keratin treatments page.

Hair Extensions

Consultation-based, because length, density, and lifestyle all change the answer. We fit extensions to what you are willing to maintain, not to what makes the biggest before-and-after photo. Start on the hair extensions page.

Repair and Booster Treatments

Olaplex, K18, and Milbon, offered as standalone appointments or added to a color service. If you are growing out heat damage or repairing a bad chemical service, these are the treatments that do the structural work. See booster treatments and Milbon.

Styling, Blowouts, and Updos

Blowouts, event styling, bridal hair, and updos. Bat mitzvah season and Edgemont graduation weekend fill up early, so book those further ahead than you think you need to. More on the hair styling page.

Frequently Asked Questions from Greenville Clients

How far is MAK Salon from Greenville?

About twelve minutes by car, mostly down Central Park Avenue. It is a shorter trip than most Greenville residents make for groceries.

My address says Scarsdale. Do you serve Greenville specifically?

Yes. Greenville, Edgemont, Hartsdale, and Scarsdale are all regular parts of our book. The shared ZIP code does not change anything about how we schedule or price. If you want to see what we have written for neighboring areas, we also have pages for Hartsdale, Scarsdale, and Ardsley.

How much does color cost?

Every current price is on our service menu. Color correction and extensions are consultation-based because the work varies too much to quote sight unseen.

Can you fix color from another salon?

Yes. Color correction is one of Marie's specialties. Bring photos of where your hair started and where you want it to end up, and be prepared for an honest conversation about how many sessions it will take. Hair has limits, and we would rather tell you that up front than overpromise.

How far ahead should I book?

For a standard cut or color, a week or two is usually comfortable. For balayage, color correction, keratin, or anything around graduation and holiday weeks, give yourself three to four weeks. Edgemont graduation and bat mitzvah season are the two periods that fill first.

Do you offer consultations before a big change?

Yes, and we recommend one before any major color change, correction, or extension service. It is the fastest way to find out whether what you want is achievable in one visit or needs a plan across several.

What products do you use?

Kerastase, Olaplex, Milbon, K18, Magic Sleek, Lasio Keratin, and Brazilian Blowout, among others. Our team trains on these lines directly rather than learning them from a bottle.
