MAK Salon sits in the heart of Eastchester's Mill Road neighborhood — steps from the Carvel everyone stops at after school pickup, right near Mason Sandwich Company and the rest of the little shops that make this stretch feel like a real neighborhood. Clients come in from all over Westchester — Tuckahoe, Bronxville, New Rochelle — and a lot of our regulars will grab lunch at Burrata or Peter's Steakhouse on White Plains Road and make a whole afternoon of it.

Meet Marie & the MAK Team

Marie Maksuti isn't just the owner — she's the reason this place exists. Growing up, hair was always her thing. While other kids were doing homework, she was watching tutorials and experimenting on anyone who'd sit still long enough. That passion turned into a career at some of Manhattan's most sought-after salons, where she spent over a decade refining her craft, studying color theory, mastering cutting techniques, and learning what it actually means to take care of a client's hair — not just make it look good for a day.

What Marie brought back to Westchester is a NYC-caliber eye with a neighborhood-salon heart. She takes the time. She asks questions. She remembers that you mentioned your daughter's graduation is coming up. And she'll tell you honestly if a trend isn't going to work with your hair texture — because she cares more about your hair health than making a sale.
