What to Expect During Your Appointment

A smoothing treatment is one of our longer appointments, so tell us your goals when you book and we will reserve the right amount of time. The process involves washing with a clarifying shampoo, applying the keratin formula section by section, blow drying, and then sealing with a flat iron. You will leave the salon with smooth, shiny hair.

After the treatment, you will need to wait 48 to 72 hours before washing your hair (depending on the treatment). Smoothing treatments last a few months, depending on the treatment and your aftercare. Your stylist will walk you through the specific aftercare for whichever option you choose, including which shampoos to use and which to avoid.

Brazilian Blowout
The softest of the three. It smooths frizz while keeping volume and body, for clients who want softer, more manageable hair without a pin-straight finish.
Magic Sleek
Our formaldehyde-free smoothing treatment, and the middle option. It gives a sleeker result than a Brazilian Blowout while keeping some body and movement, with no chemical odor. A good fit for thick, coarse, or frizzy hair.
Lasio Keratin
The sleekest of the three. It deposits keratin protein into the hair shaft for a smooth, straight finish. Best for maximum frizz control and a polished look every day without heat styling.

Who Should Get a Keratin Treatment?

Keratin treatments work best for clients dealing with frizz, humidity, unmanageable texture, or hair that takes too long to style each morning. They also help clients with color-treated hair keep smoother results between salon visits. Smoothing is especially useful in humid summer months, when frizz is hardest to control.
